The International Coaching Federation (ICF) does not offer initial education and training to become a coach (we only offer professional development for practiced coaches). As the accrediting body for coach-specific education and accredited providers, we cannot recommend any specific coaching education organizations.

To ensure quality education, ICF accredits coaching education organizations that meet the high standards set forth by ICF and ICF Coaching Education. To find ICF-Accredited Providers we suggest that you use our Education Search Service (ESS) below. The search for a coach education program is a highly individual process that depends greatly on your personal preferences and goals. The ESS is designed to give you basic information about all ICF-Accredited Education Providers.

Coach U is a leading global provider of coach training programs.  Since 1992, we have offered comprehensive coach training programs where 100% of our 40+ faculty members are professionally trained, experienced, ICF certified coaches at the PCC or MCC level. You will learn to coach, as well as begin to build your coaching business, integrate coaching skills into your organization, current life or work, and develop a strong personal foundation.

Program Description:
The Coach U Professional Coach Training Program a fully accredited program that appropriate for personal, small business and corporate individuals seeking to become self-employed or to add coaching services to their organizations or current endeavors. This program is broad and will prepare an individual to coach many types of clients with many types of situations.

Who should enroll
- people interested in becoming life, career, business or organizational coaches;
- people interested in offering individual, group and organizational coaching services;
- business owners, professionals, trainers and others interested in communicating with a coach approach while improving personal and professional development.

To achieve graduation from the full Professional Coach Training Program, you must complete the coach training which includes Phase One, the Core Essentials Program (CEP) as well as completion of Phase Two, the Professional Essentials Program (PEP), for a total of 150 hours. Then in order to achieve full ACTP level graduation from the program and become at Coach U Certified Graduate (CUCG) destination, Phase Three must be completed: an oral and a written exam (equivalent to the ICF PCC competency standards).
