Education Search Service (ESS)
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) does not offer initial education and training to become a coach (we only offer professional development for practiced coaches). As the accrediting body for coach-specific education and accredited providers, we cannot recommend any specific coaching education organizations.
To ensure quality education, ICF accredits coaching education organizations that meet the high standards set forth by ICF and ICF Coaching Education. To find ICF-Accredited Providers we suggest that you use our Education Search Service (ESS) below. The search for a coach education program is a highly individual process that depends greatly on your personal preferences and goals. The ESS is designed to give you basic information about all ICF-Accredited Education Providers.

the ICF office. The ICF recommends all approved programs equally and cannot
recommend one program over another.

Description: |
The psychologists Cora Besser-Siegmund (*1957) and Harry Siegmund (*1956) are licensed psychotherapists, NLP trainers (DVNLP) and teaching coaches (ECA). Both are recognized as coaches. Cora Besser-Siegmund is also a supervisor for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). In 2001 they founded the wingwave method, which is now used internationally by nearly 4000 wingwave coaches. The method has already been researched and its effectiveness scientifically proven.
For over twenty years, the two graduate psychologists have been heading the Besser Siegmund Institute, which is located in the heart of Hamburg, Germany. The couple developed a series of methods for therapies and coaching, which have made them known to a wide audience in a series of non-fiction books. Numerous managers, executives, athletes, artists and creative people use the successful short-term coaching methods Magic Words and wingwave-Coaching. |
Program Description: |
The four-day training to become a wingwave© coach is aimed at professional trainers, therapists and coaches. It is a module which complements your completed training in NLP, communication psychology, psychotherapy or similar qualifications.
Wingwave training is neither a therapy nor a substitute for it, but professional self-awareness and development. Participation in the course requires a normal level of mental and physical resilience.
The content of the training concerns the wingwave method, as described in the new book by qualified psychologists and founders of the method, Cora Besser-Siegmund and Harry Siegmund: "wingwave-Coaching: Like the Beat of a Butterfly's Wings" (2019), and on this website under the heading "Coaching".
The number of participants in training is limited to 12 participants per teaching wingwave trainer (max. 24 participants). Instead of a trainer team, a single trainer can also offer learning support from trained wingwave coaches, where the presence of a second trainer is replaced by at least two assistant wingwave coaches. |
