Verify ICF Membership and/or Credentials
Anyone can call themselves a coach. To be an ICF coach, an individual must complete at least 60 hours of coach-specific training and pledge to abide by the ICF Code of Ethics. ICF Credential-holders and Mentor Coaches must meet additional education and experience requirements. You can find eligible mentors here, or visit the ICF Mentor Coach Registry
. ACC coaches must complete one full credential cycle before they are eligible to serve as a Mentor Coach.
Enter a coach’s name to verify the following:
- ICF Membership status - Only ICF Members in good standing may market themselves as such and use the ICF logo on their marketing materials.
- ICF Credential status - Only ICF Credential-holders in good standing* may market themselves as Associate Certified Coaches (ACC), Professional Certified Coaches (PCC), or Master Certified Coaches (MCC).
*Please Note: ICF
offers a 60-day grace period for Credentials, allowing ACC, PCC and MCC
Credential-holders to remain active for 60 days following their expiration date.
