Program Description: This program is focused on the 8 ICF team coaching competencies. It is a strength-based approach which means the strength philosophy is incorporated and complements each of the core competencies. The program includes learning through application, which means application of team coaching with peers, at work and in the sessions. The program focuses on increasing your team coaching deliveries with clients to support you in application of an Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) from ICF if you so wish. During this program you will learn strategies and structures to coach teams and become skilled in the use of tools that develop individual team members to increase their self-awareness, better understand others and manage team dynamics. This program is split into three modules: Module 1 – This 3-hour Strength Workshop supports you to identify and invest in your talents. You will complete an assessment that outlines some of your top innate talents unique to you. We will work on these talents through application of an ICE Talent Builder Model. This model will enhance your development as a coach and can be used with your clients (individual and teams) to accelerate their developmental journey with higher engagement. Module 2 - You will learn about 34 categories of talents that individual team members may bring to the team. There will be a deep dive into the needs, contributions, likes and dislikes of the themes. learning will bring better appreciation of the differences between individuals and the challenges or blind spots that each may have. Furthermore, you will start to learn some strategies for building on your strength and managing your weakness and then use these strategies in assisting your clients. Module 3 - This module is primarily about understanding the 8 ICF team coaching competencies and the skills within each and enhancing your impact by applying the strength development. You will practice and receive feedback from faculty and peers throughout the program. This learning journey will take place inside class-room environment and outside with peers and clients (see more details in the ICE website https://icoachingeducation.com/become-a-team-coach/). You will learn about the four keys of great managers and how to focus on their unique styles and to be aware of the unique differences of team members. This module includes interview questions, strategies and structures to create a strength profile of each team member and to prepare to coach the individual and team towards the agreed program goals. Team Coaching Practical and ICF credentialing: In order to apply for the ICF credential the team coach must complete 5 team coaching engagements. This program is designed so that you will complete one of the five engagements at the end of the program. Furthermore, for credentialing purposes, ICF requires 5 hours supervision. As part of the ICE program, you will work with a supervisor for the above hours to deliver your team coaching engagement and enhance your team coaching experience and delivery. As part of the education process, you will be given a chance to apply your learning by initially establishing and maintaining your agreement (competency 3) and to apply the team coaching competencies and the strength methodology in ensuring the team develops and reaches the objective of the engagement. This program is designed to be completed over approximately 6 months from the beginning of module 3 to allow time for practice in between sessions and to build your coaching practice with clients. |
