Education Search Service (ESS)

The ESS is a free, searchable directory of coaching education that is accredited by ICF. ICF-accredited education has gone through a rigorous review process and demonstrated that its curriculum aligns with the ICF definition of coaching, Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. Level One, Level Two, and Level Three offerings deliver foundational coach-specific education and training. Continuing Coach Education (CCE) offerings provide advanced and supplemental learning opportunities for trained and credentialed coach practitioners.

As the accrediting body for coach-specific education and accredited providers, we cannot recommend any specific coaching education organizations.

To find ICF-Accredited Providers that meet your individual needs, we suggest that you use our Education Search Service (ESS) below. The search for a coach education program is a highly individual process that depends greatly on your personal preferences and goals. The ESS is designed to give you basic information about all ICF-Accredited Education Providers.

The work we do goes beyond training: through groundbreaking models and a global network of world-class faculty and partners, the Co-Active difference delivers contextually relevant and experiential learning that ignites transformation and a lifelong journey developing the deepest expression of leadership in each human being.
Program Description:
Co-Active Coach Training is widely recognized as the most rigorous coach training and certification program in the industry. As the largest and most established coach training organization in the world, CTI has trained over 130,000 coaches, consultants, and leaders — including employees in more than a third of Fortune 100 companies.
The Co-Active way of coaching is unique and person-centered. It’s built on our fundamental belief that the Co (who we are and how we are in relationship with others) and the Active (purposefully moving towards our goals) come together in beautiful synergy to create our most fulfilling lives. Co-Active coaches don’t just help people solve problems or meet goals; they help people become who they want to be. This is why Co-Active coaching is transformational, and why it is a powerful way to coach anyone on any topic.
Our Coach Training comprises 5 modules and 104 education hours. Each module builds on the last to expand, deepen, and integrate the learning, developing coaches with high levels of confidence and professionalism. Our learning is highly experiential and participatory, and learners will be coaching in live situations from day one. Training is available online or in person, and in multiple languages through our international partners.
Certification is a 25-week program that follows on from our Coach Training. The certification program grants learners the prestigious designation of Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and awards learners the legitimacy that comes from having a certification respected worldwide as the gold standard of coaching. During the program, learners will acquire 100 hours of coaching experience in addition to 96 hours of coaching education, and they’ll also receive coaching supervisions and a performance evaluation.
CTI-trained coaches are equipped with the most robust training and supported by the most flexible and proven model in the coaching world. They are also people who, as coaches and leaders, value depth in relationship and real growth and transformation for their coachees.
