Career & Transition Coaching is a 20-hour asynchronous Continuing Coach Education program for credentialed and pre-credential coaches who take on career and career-transition clients and want a disciplined way to coach them without drifting into career consulting, advice-giving, resume coaching, or salary-negotiation tactics. It is the third of seven planned focused specializations in Tandem Coaching's Practitioner Series, built on top of Tandem Coaching Academy's ICF-accredited Level 1 and Level 2 programs. The program includes the 3 mandatory ethics hours required for ICF credential renewal.

Career coaching is the engagement shape where the market expectation, the client's wish for advice, and the coach's wish to be useful combine to pull every conversation toward consulting. The curriculum addresses that structural problem directly. It is anchored on the Coach the Transition framework — four moves the coach makes in every career engagement: Read the Persona, Hold the Stance, Contract the Agreement, Land the Experiment — and on a five-doorway persona architecture: Persona A The Laid-Off Executive, Persona B The Mid-Career Pivoter, Persona C The Stuck Mid-Careerist, Persona D The Returner After Caregiving, Persona E The Late-Career Encore. Module 1 installs scope discipline and the pivot-back move before any persona work begins (CC 1 Demonstrates Ethical Practice, CC 2 Embodies a Coaching Mindset, CC 5 Maintains Presence). Modules 2–6 work the five persona shapes, each as a coaching conversation under live conditions (CC 5 Maintains Presence, CC 6 Listens Actively, CC 7 Evokes Awareness, CC 8 Facilitates Client Growth). Module 7 is the integrative case-formulation module where the four moves are applied across persona blends (CC 7, CC 8). Module 8 is the three-party contracting module — corporate-sponsored career engagements
