Education Search Service (ESS)

The ESS is a free, searchable directory of coaching education that is accredited by ICF. ICF-accredited education has gone through a rigorous review process and demonstrated that its curriculum aligns with the ICF definition of coaching, Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. Level One, Level Two, and Level Three offerings deliver foundational coach-specific education and training. Continuing Coach Education (CCE) offerings provide advanced and supplemental learning opportunities for trained and credentialed coach practitioners.

As the accrediting body for coach-specific education and accredited providers, we cannot recommend any specific coaching education organizations.

To find ICF-Accredited Providers that meet your individual needs, we suggest that you use our Education Search Service (ESS) below. The search for a coach education program is a highly individual process that depends greatly on your personal preferences and goals. The ESS is designed to give you basic information about all ICF-Accredited Education Providers.

Program Description:

Agreement setting is one of the most important skills in coaching, yet many coaches only scratch the surface, treating it as something transactional. Confirm the topic, name the goal, revisit it at the end. When agreements are handled that way, the rest of the session feels it. The opportunity to co-create an agreement that taps into real meaning, impact, and transformation gets lost, and everyone involved misses out.

This course, grounded in ICF Core Competency 3 (CC3), explores what it actually takes to establish and maintain agreements when coaching gets real. Through scenarios that reflect the complexity coaches encounter every day, participants will move beyond the common, safe space of treating agreement setting as a transactional checklist and practice building agreements around deeper, more transformative outcomes that hold up in tricky, real-life coaching situations.

This course is taught synchronously as a virtual course. It incorporates learning and engagement modalities that include lecture, discussion, role plays, and live polling.
