The ESS is a free, searchable directory of coaching education that is accredited by ICF. ICF-accredited education has gone through a rigorous review process and demonstrated that its curriculum aligns with the ICF definition of coaching, Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. Level One,
Level Two, and Level Three offerings deliver foundational coach-specific education and training. Continuing Coach Education (CCE) offerings provide advanced and supplemental learning opportunities for trained and credentialed coach practitioners.
As the accrediting body for coach-specific education and accredited providers, we cannot recommend any specific coaching education organizations.

True North Coaching Level 2 Program
Overview:
True North Coaching Level 2 is an advanced coach training program, meticulously designed to align with the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) Core Competency Framework. This program builds further on foundational coaching knowledge and elevates a coach’s practice to the PCC (Professional Certified Coach) level, equipping learners with deeper skills, broader perspectives, and greater confidence to hold transformative coaching conversations.
All learning is mapped directly to the ICF’s updated Core Competencies and designed for seamless translation into real coaching contexts.
Program Highlights:
Refresher on Core Coaching Foundations:
We offer a succinct recap for our Level 1 alumni or an introduction for our new participants, of coaching fundamentals and our proprietary S.N.A.P. Framework—an integrative model built to complement ICF’s Competency Framework.
Stepping into Level 2:
Understand what distinguishes Level 2 (PCC) from Level 1 (ACC) and what it takes to embody advanced coaching maturity.
Orientation on expectations, depth, and scope at the PCC level.
Competency Deep Dive:
Immersive learning of the ICF Core Competencies through the lens of adult learning principles.
Advanced application and demonstration of all PCC-level markers coaching conversations.
Application, review and Feedback:
Engagement in structured coaching conversations, receiving detailed feedback from mentors and peers, and reflection on performance.
Cycles of practice and feedback to build confidence, increase competency alignment, and support readiness for final evaluation.

Module 1: Being Lab
Focus: The Being of the Coach
Core Learning Components - Exploring the Inner World of the Coach and Client
Who & What of Coaching
Dive into the self-construct, exploring identity, values, and purpose. Cultivate a deeper awareness of what shapes coaching presence.
Deep Listening
Move beyond surface-level responses through contemplative inquiry and reflective listening. Understand how deep listening unlocks awareness and insight.
Presence & Metaphor
Use clean language, metaphors, and presence as catalytic tools to heighten client awareness and invite transformation.
Brief Coverage:
Explore embodiment of the coaching mindset beyond the basics.
Tap into intuition, courage, and deeper awareness.
Tools to develop intentional listening and coach presence.
Practices for shifting from “doing” coaching to “being” a coach.
Module 2: Skill Lab
Focus: Competency Mastery
In-depth teaching and discussions on all ICF Core Competencies and PCC markers.
Practical demonstrations with sample coaching conversations.
Live practice, feedback from faculty, supervisors, and peers.
Module 3: Peer to Peer Practice & Supervised Coaching
Focus: Application & Feedback
Peer coaching sessions to demonstrate competencies.
Structured debriefs, reflections, and calibration.
Observed coaching sessions with detailed performance feedback.
Module 4: Mentor Coaching & Evaluation Components:
Focus: Feedback and improvement targeted towards readiness for final performance evaluation
Group Mentoring:
Group mentoring sessions with live conversations, followed by guided discussions and debriefs.
Individual Mentoring:
Three one-on-one mentoring sessions with personalized feedback on submitted recordings and transcripts—focused on improving alignment with PCC markers.
Final Performance Evaluation:
A live coaching conversation with a real client, observed by a certified performance assessor.
Asynchronous Learning:
Pre-session videos, readings, and reflective quizzes to support self- learning, interspersed during the course of the program.
Access to curated literature on coaching, transformation, and adult development.
Submission of a short research paper on “The Application of Coaching in Contemporary Contexts”—participants may choose from a range of suggested topics.
Learning Outcomes:
