Education Search Service (ESS)
The ESS is a free, searchable directory of coaching education that is accredited by ICF. ICF-accredited education has gone through a rigorous review process and demonstrated that its curriculum aligns with the ICF definition of coaching, Core Competencies and Code of Ethics. Level One,
Level Two, and Level Three offerings deliver foundational coach-specific education and training. Continuing Coach Education (CCE) offerings provide advanced and supplemental learning opportunities for trained and credentialed coach practitioners.
As the accrediting body for coach-specific education and accredited providers, we cannot recommend any specific coaching education organizations.

The search for a coach education program is a highly individual process that depends greatly on your personal preferences and goals. The Fuller Church Planting Initiative (FCPI) is part of Fuller Theological Seminary (fuller.edu), one of the largest multidenominational seminaries in the world. FCPI empowers global church planting by training church planters and church planter coaches through innovative cohorts that combine digital courses, monthly Zoom calls, coaching triads, workbooks, and a final project. |
| Program Description: |
The Church Planter Coaching Certificate offered by FCPI trains people to coach church planters who are starting new Christian churches. The Certificate delivers training through an 8-month cohort that is facilitated by an ICF Certified Coach. This experience combines both synchronous and asynchronous learning through six online courses along with monthly synchronous cohort calls, and monthly synchronous triad calls, and actual monthly coaching of a church planter. There are digital workbooks that accompany each of the online courses, and a final project. |
