The International Coaching Federation (ICF) does not offer initial education and training to become a coach (we only offer professional development for practiced coaches). As the accrediting body for coach-specific education and accredited providers, we cannot recommend any specific coaching education organizations.

To ensure quality education, ICF accredits coaching education organizations that meet the high standards set forth by ICF and ICF Coaching Education. The search for a coach education program is a highly individual process that depends greatly on your personal preferences and goals. Program Description:	This program addresses personal growth and leadership on five important tracks using coaching education as a means for preparing coaches to use these tools coupled with the core coaching competencies. The first track is around self-awareness of thoughts and emotions. The second track is positive thinking and how to overcome negativity. The third is emotional intelligence and its benefits to coaching. The fourth is around vision, goals and small business projects. The fifth is around time and resources management. A coach not only learns new tools and refreshes their core competencies education but also becomes aligned with who they are and how they show up.
