Verify ICF Membership and/or Credentials
Anyone can call themselves a coach. To be an ICF coach, an individual must complete at least 60 hours of coach-specific training and pledge to abide by the ICF Code of Ethics. ICF Credential-holders and Mentor Coaches must meet additional education and experience requirements. You can find eligible mentors here, or visit the
ICF Mentor Coach Registry. ACC coaches must complete one full credential cycle before they are eligible to serve as a Mentor Coach.
Enter a coach’s name to verify the following:
- ICF Membership status - Only ICF Members in good standing may market themselves as such and use the ICF logo on their marketing materials.
- ICF Credential status - Only ICF Credential-holders in good standing* may market themselves as Associate Certified Coaches (ACC), Professional Certified Coaches (PCC), or Master Certified Coaches (MCC).
*Please Note: ICF
offers a 60-day grace period for Credentials, allowing ACC, PCC and MCC
Credential-holders to remain active for 60 days following their expiration date.
