Coaches can search for and find prospective coaching supervisors using the following guidance.

For coaching supervision services to be provided on or after January 1, 2027:
Beginning January 1, 2027, coaching supervision sessions must be completed with a coach who holds either an active:

  • ICF Coaching Supervisor Specialization (CSS); OR
  • Coaching supervision credential or accreditation from another supervision or coaching professional body,


In addition, beginning January 1, 2027, to apply for or renew an Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC), the coaching supervisor must also hold an active:

  • ICF ACTC; OR
  • Team coaching credential or accreditation from another coaching body.

ICF Coaching Supervisor Registry

The ICF Coaching Supervisor Registry includes coaching supervisors who are eligible to provide supervision under the 2027 requirements. The registry includes coaches who have earned the ICF Coaching Supervisor Specialization (CSS) or hold a coaching supervision credential from another supervision or coaching professional body.

Coaching Supervisors with an active ACTC or team coaching credential or accreditation from another coaching body are marked as eligible to provide coaching supervision to coaches seeking to apply for or renew the ACTC.

The ICF Coaching Supervisor Registry is designed to support coaches to connect with eligible coach supervisors.

Working with a coaching supervisor from this registry does not guarantee any specific outcomes, including earning an ICF credential. As with any coaching engagement, there should be a clear agreement and a safe and supportive environment for your work together.
